Heeeeyyyy 8D
I'm Firedblue. I have no idea how or why I came up with that name, but I randomly used it once, and it stuck... so yeah. xD
You can call me Blue. Or whatever you want to call me, really. xD

I've been playing the piano since I was about six, and I never really enjoyed it untill I found out that there was a bunch of sheet music online from my favorite videogames. *EPIC GASP*
So then I got all excited about playing videogame music at random times. I really really love music, just... not when I'm more or less forced to play it.
So I figured, what could possibly be more awesome than getting an ocarina? I could actually play awesome music on it, and I could use it as a prop for cosplay. Even though I cosplay TP Link instead of OoT... but still. xD

I... had no idea just how addicting this thing would actually be. I own two now, the Songbird OoT and a 4 hole strawberry pendant from Focalink, and I'm saving up for a third~ 8D

So... Hey there! C8

Haldo, I'm PianoOnWheels, or POW as you throw a sucker punch if you must. =P

Like most people, I learned about the ocarina through Ocarina of Time and have been fascinated with the instrument ever since. Though I only started playing 4 weeks ago and I don't actually own an ocarina...yet. lol

Fellow members of the octalk forum allow me to introduce myself! Michael is my name and history, art, music and missions are my game! I'm 18 years old and I live in Central NJ. I'm an artist & knowledge guru. I've been a fan of music since I was 1st introduce to the video game we all know as the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. Call me by my nicknames "Igos" or "Black Dragon" which ever one you wish to refer to me by. Passion and talent burns through my veins! It's an honor to be a member of this forum.

New to the site, but not to the ocarina world. My First ocarina was a Songbird Zelda ext Range XL and loved it from the start. I broke it several times and is now lost in trash heaven.

That was 6 years ago. Last year I bought what I thought was an exact replacement that turned out to be a smaller version and was saddened because the sound was not nearly as soothing or unique as my previous model. And didn't pick it up again, however, I received my Dragon Tooth a few days ago and am eager to try and learn the 12 hole.

I also got my first camera and am hopeful to try and post my ocarina playing on youtube.

Keep an eye out for me ValasCladdana

hey guys, names josh (big surprise?) and I'm from Toronto, Canada. the first ocarina i have ever seen was in L.O.Z.: A Link To The Past... although they called it a flute in that game. i thought it was really cool looking and wanted one, but didn't think they were real. then a few years later Ocarina Of Time and Pokemon 2000 came out (give me a break, i was 11) and i learned they were real. played guitar for a while, and stumbled on docjazz4's videos looking for tabs. now i have 5 ocarinas, and an acoustic guitar (I really miss my electric though). see ya around

Hello All. Name's Leo, I'm 21, living in FL. I am just getting into this ocarina thing. I first heard about them years ago when I was very young and saw someone playing one on a street corner. Then, of course, my interest was peaked even more when I played LoZ: OoT. All this time, however, I never really thought about getting my own...until now that is.

I just ordered an STL 12-hole Tenor, in C. This will be hopefully my first of many ocarinas. I have a background in music (played in band in high school, drums throughout my childhood, a bit of piano/guitar here and there) so I hope to be able to learn effectively, and add this interesting instrument to my repertoire.

"I'm Going to Live Forever, Or Die Trying"

« Reply #249 on: March 24, 2010, 05:03:21 PM »

Hello

I am Zero, at least that is what I go by. My real name is Isaac. I live in Utah. I have been playing the Ocarina for 3 years off and on, and I find that I only play 12 sweet potato ocarinas. I was introduced to this amazing instrument the same way most people were, by the masterpiece game, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I have 3 ocarinas, all of them sweet potato tenors. My favorite is my Ocarina of Time replica by songbird. Just because I am a hard core gamer doesn't mean I play the ocarina just because of the game, that’s far from the truth. Although it is true I am an avid gamer and play all types, I play the ocarina because I love making music. I just really like the look of the Ocarina of Time. I have even gotten my girl friend into ocarinas, and she now has Songbird's 10 hole Muse. If anyone has questions about video games come to me, chances are I know the answer. I have played A LOT of games.

I am honored to meet you all and hope to learn a lot and help where I can.

Sincerely
Zero (Isaac Taylor)

Hi  Cheesy I'm MaroonIce and that's what I love to go by. I was introduced to this site the same way I was introduced to the ocarina, Zero. He was introduced, as he said by the game Legend of Zelda. I'm excited to be on this site and have thoroughly fallen in love with my Muse.  Grin

Hello everyone! My name is Eri and I'm form Mexico.
I've been in love with ocarinas since OoT. Perhaps even before that, but back then I didn't match the sound of the instrument with its name.

I bought my first ocarina in October 2008 and since then I've been learning/playing them.  It's relatively a short time, but I think there's no way out now hehe, ocarinas have become quite an obsession to me.

It's a pleasure to be here with so many ocarina lovers and I hope I can contribute to the community in some way =)
See you around~

Ocarina playing downhill biker dragon!

« Reply #254 on: April 02, 2010, 08:35:49 PM »

Hey there! I generaly go by Draco online for the most part myself, was originally introduced to the ocarina through legend of zelda but thats not why I picked it up. I decided I decided agian that I wanted to play music but I don't have time for my clarinet and it's too big and heavy and awkward and takes too much maintenance. That was when I stumbled over DocJazz4's videos on youtube and thought "thats kind of cool." So I put some research into it and came up with songbird. I recieved my first oc yesterday afternoon and can already play a few songs! Anyways I can't wait to get into harder songs. Awesome instrument and great fun!
