Hello... My name is Michael... I am 23 years old and from San Antonio Tx... I was first introduced to the ocarina in the same way as most, playing The Legend of Zelda video games (More specifically, The Ocarina of Time)... I currently have 5 Ocarinas and have made one which I gave to my younger brother... My first ocarina is an english alto pendant that I acquired from Songbirdocarina.com... the rest I bought from STLOcarina, these are: a 12 hole tenor, a 12 hole Infinity tenor, a double ocarina, and 12 hole soprano.  I had bought another 12 hole tenor when I accidentally broke my first 12 hole, but after I super glued the two pieces together, I gave the newer one to my younger brother as well... Oh, and I also have a 6 hole bass pendant, but I dont really use it that much because it sounds very unpleasant... I want to start going to the local Ocarina Guild meetings. I am not the best at playing.  I am trying to get better but with a new wife, kid, and job, finding time to practice is a little difficult.  Hopefully I can make some local friends on here and be able to hang out and practice together some time... OK.. I think ive bored you enough for now... lol... hope to talk to some of you soon!

Ahh lets see I was introduced to the ocarina by the game Ocarina of Time and I saw an ad in Nintendo Power a while back to order Songbird Ocarinas so about a year ago I bought an extended range sweet potato and I'm loving it!

Hiya, KPW. I see I'm not the only one who began thinking about ocarinas after seeing the Songbird ad.
(Though in my case, it only annoyed me and gave me a bad impression of them at the time.)

I'm ZeroJamesMagnion. Well...that's my internet persona anyway. You may refer to me by that name (the abbreviation ZJM also works.) or by my real name: James.

Despite my greeting, I am not Japanese. I'm learning the language, but it's a slow process.

I've been playing the ocarina for about 5 months now. I started with the Sweet Potato Extended Range from Songbird Ocarinas, and have since purchased the OoT replica and the Dragon Tooth. I'm not very skilled at either one, but I hope to learn by being here.

I'm 21 years old and am a Pennsylvania native. I work at a hotel that runs 2 restaurants, so I make orders for both. In my free time I enjoy gaming (on consoles ranging from the Atari 2600 to Wii/Xbox360), online gaming, pixel artistry, and freelance swordsmanship.

hello fello ocarina luvers!! i am 13 and currently own 6 ocarinas, most of them through stl. I live in richmond, virginia, where nobody else plays the ocarina (i think)  i hope to find locals to start a guild or group of some sort, so i thought this would be a great place to start! wish me luck
